[ Aaaaand off he goes. There's not a trace of him left in the ground when he melts into it, and a few moments later, he pops his head out of another flat surface a few feet down to look around. Presumably gauging his progress, though he does also look around to make sure of Gray's position before melting out of sight once more.

He makes steady progress all the way down, finally emerging out of the ground and shaking his head (his ears flop) to dislodge a few specks of dirt and rock from his hair. Then, looking over to Gray, he gives a cant of the head: ]
