[ Mining sounds like a simple enough job, harmless and honest good work. So Gray is especially happy to tag along... though she starts to feel a bit doubtful when Gen pauses at the cliffside. He's savvy when it comes to certain things, but when it comes to navigating the wilderness, she's come to be skeptical of the abilities of city-slickers (or town-slickers, in Gen's case). As a model country bumpkin, she knows when modern living is too complicated for her and wouldn't pretend otherwise — so she wonders why people who aren't used to the great outdoors are too proud to admit it.
When Gen says he'll go first, a little alarm bell rings in her head. When he suddenly disappears into the ground, the bell turns into a nuclear siren. ]
