Body and Appearance

1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?

5'1" (154 cm) and 92 lbs (45 kg), which puts her at a healthy weight on the petite side. She's slim but lean, her physique having been built up from an active lifestyle rather than conscious strength training.

2. How old is she?

16 now in AT.

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?

She stands in a "proper," neutral-feeling way by default with strong symmetry and a tendency toward conserving space — so with her feet close together and her hands at her sides or clasped in front of her. However, her body is expressive and easily read when she's reacting to something; when anxious she'll join her hands, when ashamed she'll lower her head and shoulders to hide under her hood, etc.

When she's fighting, her default stance is aggressive (but controlled) with feet planted wide and bearing low like a lil mini boar ready to charge.

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?

She is healthy and fit, used to running around in high mountain air and performing labor/training daily. As an Aion she's probably slipped a little because there are one million servants around, but she still tries to spend some time every day practicing with weaponry so that she can be ready when needed.

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?

Conservatively when at ease; slow-paced and gentle, trying to cause as few ripples as possible. When flustered she can be clumsy, but only in short bursts and her hands remain delicate in their gestures (not fully closed, placed to her chest, etc.). The only things she'll usually grasp tightly are her hood and weapons. However, she has excellent reflexes and physicality, so when she's moving on instinct, she's assured and athletic. She can pick a flying wine glass out of the air without spilling a drop.

She's so used to wearing a hood that her mannerisms have adapted to it, i.e. in the angles she'll look at people depending on how open or closed she's feeling.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?

She has the face of Fate/'s version of King Arthur, a.k.a. Saber. Gray is often described as cute or fairy-like (vs. Saber who was often called beautiful or noble). Objectively she's supposed to have an aesthetically appealing face and she is aware of that, but psychologically she's divorced from connecting that to herself. She doesn't like to look into mirrors and does not keep one in her living quarters; if she ends up incidentally facing one, she'll put her hand over her face's reflection until she can turn away.

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?

Light and clear... in true anime style, she does nothing to maintain it but her skin is flawless anyway.

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.

It's gray, she was born a lil grandma baby. Her hair is naturally straight and strong, going down to about mid-shoulder blade, and she does brush it regularly because she is about being well-kept. She always has her hair up in a Saber bun; it's probably easier to keep it in a bun regardless so that it can sit nicely under her hood. Oddly, she is a bit fussy about her hair being neat despite her eternal hood status. She has a prominent ahoge that is pretty much always flattened by her hood.

9. What color are her eyes?

Green.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?

Her crystal is below the back of her neck.

11. What are her chief tension centers?

Her chest?? Is that a thing?? She is always having mini heart attacks, I s2g. When she's tense she'll draw up her chest, when she's surprised she'll put a hand to her chest, when she's trying to calm herself she'll put her hand to her heart.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?

It's all blacks, whites, and grays because she doesn't like to stand out. She only has mild opinions on what she wears as long as it's all modest in nature and includes a hood, so she'll readily let other people choose her outfits for her. She lets Waver and Reines choose her clothes in canon, so they're always changing. In Aion, she lets her retainer choose or just throws on whatever she feels like that day without too much thought. Since Achamoth is big on the goth aesthetic, she hasn't had to change her style much at all.

She is pretty much always wearing dresses or skirts. She might find pants a little stuffy, but would be cool with shorts as long as they're comfortable.

13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?

They're all on the side of loose and comfortable because they're cloaks, shawls, skirts, etc. Her actual body shape would be a mystery if we didn't already know what Saber looks like.

14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?

Yea. You'd think all of that material would get in the way of her trying to tend graves and fight, but that's the power of anime...

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?

Picture the most basic lady undergarments you possibly can and that's her.

Speech

1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?

She's voiced by Reina Ueda! A little hushed and soft, very rounded around the corners. Girlish and delicate but on the mellow side.

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?

She often hesitates and trails off or stutters when intimidated by someone, but as she becomes more comfortable with them, her tone becomes more sweet and soothing. Can be a bit of a slow talker, especially when she's trying to process something, but very firm when her blood gets pumping. Generally mild but expressive.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

She speaks English with a Welsh accent. In Japanese, her pronoun is "setsu," which is self-deprecating and implies clumsiness and worthlessness.

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?

She speaks fluent English and ?maybe? Welsh, it isn't very clear.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?

She only speaks English in canon. Perhaps due to the nature of translation, she doesn't use any particularly British diction aside from very common ones like flat, car park, etc.

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?

She definitely has to think. She often laments that she isn't well-spoken, and if put on the spot to answer to something, her answers can be awkward or overly simple.

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

Her manner of speech is mostly colloquial and uncomplicated. She often wonders about things but keeps them to herself up until her curiosity becomes strong enough that she just blurts them out as overly direct questions, which can surprise people who only know her as shy and withdrawn. She often has difficulty expressing more complicated emotions in words and will either do so clumsily, looking for analogies, or discard attempts altogether. She expresses herself better when impassioned.

Mental and Emotional

1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?

She is emotionally intelligent, often able to perceive how people are feeling or what their deeper intent is before she understands the details of what they're saying in words. She laments that she doesn't understand people and that she's given up on trying to, but that's because she's trying to count the trees when her talent is more for feeling the forest.

She isn't particularly street-smart. She is fully a country bumpkin used to friendly neighbors. She doesn't consider herself book-smart at all, especially since her first formal school experience was an elite magecraft school she has no business attending; she constantly feels "behind" and has difficulty absorbing complicated magecraft concepts the first time around. She often calls herself dumb in a very serious sense, but she's simply overwhelmed by how new and dense the world of magecraft (and its politics) is.

She does turn in her first ever school paper (you go girl!!) and it's full of amateur mistakes, but Waver remarks that it's about what he'd expect of a first time paper and praises her unique viewpoint... so she really doesn't lack the capacity to be a good student, she's just extremely behind on the curriculum.

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?

In an emergency situation, she thinks quickly on her feet and doesn't hesitate at all to try to resolve it. Her early and constant exposure to high-pressure situations (a.k.a. tough training and fighting ghosts) has given her a well-developed muscle for snap decisions in a physical sense.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

Intuitive and... idealistically practical?? Because she considers herself dumb, she plays down her ability to be logical and instead leans on what feels right. In a similar vein, she doesn't have strongly defined ideals other than that she wants to "protect the people important to her," and she will do whatever is necessary and practical to keep those people safe even if those individuals have questionable morals.

4. What kind of education has the character had?

Pre-Clock Tower, she probably only had informal academic training as taught by her parents and/or whoever was willing to teach her things around her village, but she's clearly fine with everyday math and likes to read. From about 5 or 6 years old, the resident gravekeeper (Bersac Blackmore) started training her for survival and gravekeeping duties, which includes combat education.

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?

Ghosts, necromancy. She's interested in learning more about those things from a magecraft perspective, but only in the sense that she feels they're relative to her function. She's overall a curious gal and interested in learning about most things (as long as it's not too complicated and making her brain hurt).

6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?

An introvert, so much, but she still needs people to care about and vice versa or else she'll get lonely.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

Even-tempered with very mild changes in mood, but she does startle easily. Doesn't smile much until she becomes comfortable with a person and feels like she can glean their basic nature, so she sometimes comes across as gloomy or serious at first blush. She is overall passive and a little nervous or watchful of strangers as she attempts to "decipher" them, but she is also often tentatively trying to reach out and connect with them because of an underlying desire to understand them.

Once she does consider someone safe or friendly though, she becomes much more relaxed and sweet with them in turn, but also a bit fussier and attentive of their mannerisms. If the person isn't taking care of themselves to her standards, she may feel a need to intervene in some way.

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

— New people: nervous and/or wary, trying very hard to study them and get a handle on who they are; though if it's just an everyday flavor of stranger, she is normal about it, it's when someone is formally meeting her and trying to hold a conversation with her that she might bug out a little.
— New situation: assuming it's a non-emergency situation, she tries to like... become a piece of furniture and hopes that no one talks to her while she figures out what's going on lmao. If there's someone she knows around, she'll gravitate toward standing behind them for cover.
— New emergency situation: right away, if there's something to be attacked that might make things better, she'll attack it... or she'll grab whoever needs grabbing and get them to safety. However, she'll try to defer to the judgment of the "smarter" people around her if there's time to have that exchange.

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?

React.

10. Which is her default: fight or flight?

Fight if there's a serious fight to be had; otherwise she is thinking constantly about running away from uncomfortable situations.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

Her sense of humor is underdeveloped, probably leaning toward snappy, simple types like slapstick, but she'd be more amused than outright laughing at it. She understands puns and all that, but again it would be more rueful/amused smiles from her than anything. If she's laughing at any jokes, it will probably be entirely because she finds the teller's comedic energy infectious.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?

She hasn't been diagnosed for anything and I'm hopeless at trying to identify how clinical these things would be, but I will do my best (SWEATS).

— She has major phasmophobia due to her sensitivity toward ghosts; she is easily possessed by them and prone to being swallowed up by their emotions when they're near, and their emotions/memories also bleed into her dreams. Being a gravekeeper, she's forced to be around ghosts often; when she was younger and unable to deal with them on her own, she probably felt much more dread and terror because of her helplessness. Even now, thinking about ghosts too deeply will produce a reaction of fear and dread in her, but she's much better equipped to brute force her way through because she has a means of dealing with them.

— PTSD surrounding her face... When her face changed from her own to King Arthur's, it did so in pretty much the worst way possible: she was just a lil gal (5) and then whoops, over the course of several hours her bones and muscles decided to start moving around to the point where she could hear them shifting inside her. It was extremely painful, and implied to be her entire body rather than just her face, but her face is what she fixates on because it's what she considers her identity. The part two on this is that everyone else in her village was ECSTATIC to find out that this traumatizing thing happened to her and began to worship her henceforth because it meant her body could eventually be used as a vessel for the return of King Arthur. Tender baby Gray was extremely distraught and felt that this transition marked the death of her personal self, but she felt she had no choice but to cooperate... and so began her struggles with identity and self-worth.

— Situational depression?? I will slap a big old (CW: suicidal ideation) here because she has very much had suicidal thoughts... She's thought to herself that she would be better off dead, has fantasized about how she should die in graphic detail, and sometimes thinks vividly about the violence she deserves for doing something she thinks is shameful. She says explicitly that the only reason why she never carried through with anything was because the only thing that seemed worse than living was becoming a ghost wandering the earth afterward. :( Thankfully, these thoughts have more or less disappeared by the end of the series, so she is doing much better now.

For the ten years after her face changed, she was in a really dark place... She couldn't handle how the villagers revered her for her face, to the point where she was using the cemetery as an escape. The cemetery with the ghosts in it that she's deathly terrified of, mind you. Isolated, friendless, knowing she was meant to be sacrificed, and grappling with the happiness of the rest of the village versus her own, she basically had no room to feel genuine happiness or that she had a future.

— Oh god there's a "how does she deal with all these" component to this question. Waver taught her to meditate when she begins to feel overwhelmed or panicked, so she'll put her hand to her heart and focus on counting her heartbeats to ground herself in the present. And that's really it I guess lmfao, she definitely isn't getting any therapy from mages or in Achamoth. She really just tries to keep a stiff upper lip (with mixed results).

13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?

Becoming a Saberface because gestures at all of the above, and then when she met Waver because it was the very first time her eyes were opened to the possibility that someone could struggle with life (like her) but still persist. Her battle(s) with Faker were also defining in that they solidified her reason for fighting, which is to protect.

14. What does she fear?

ghosts I'm exhausted.......... also losing Waver and Reines, they are so important to her.

15. What are her hopes or aspirations?

God she just wants Waver to be happy. She would like everyone she cares about to be happy. Her personal hope is for herself to be less pathetic and to be able to speak up for herself in like a normal way and figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life.

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?

How deeply afraid and sad she is about a lot of things... It's not a very well-kept secret?? She knows she's a hopeless crybaby and is very visibly anxious and aimless, but she still feels ashamed and self-deprecating about those things, especially if she has an uncontrollable reaction. She can let it out and work through it if she's with people she trusts not to judge her too harshly, but otherwise she has a tendency to try to bottle it up and deal badly by like... having a panic attack or passing out. Sweet baby child. 😔

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.

She had great relationships with her parents before she got Saberfaced. Her dad doted on her and would cook for her; when she got tired of eating potatoes every day, he was able to have merchants bring in ingredients for other cuisine and they would cook together with secondhand recipes. Her mom was a little more strict, but it sounds like she was still kind and warm, and they were a happy little trio. Once Gray's face changed, they shifted very suddenly to devotion mode along with the rest of the village. Her dad died shortly after, and her mom became even more devoted and strict about every detail of her life, to the point where Gray came to fear her and feel like her mom would control her until the day she died. Then [several novels and plot twists happen] and Gray comes to understand that her mom was trying to protect her in her own way... Their relationship is basically on hold from then on out because Gray can't return to her village, but it can be assumed that when they do reunite, they'll be able to begin anew and try to rebuild their relationship.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?

Nope.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?

Nope.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?

Uhh maybe she sees Bersac Blackmore as a guardian of sorts? He taught her how to survive and defend herself for ten years, so even if she doesn't directly think of him as family, she's grateful to him for giving her guidance being one of the very few who treated her with little regard for her face. Even though he made ghosts her profession....... There's also Waver, but I think she sees him as more of a savior or someone to serve than family.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?

It's Add the talking box... He was given to her by Bersac once she was selected to become a gravekeeper. He was her only friend once her face changed, and she finds great relief in the fact that he treats her irreverently. He doesn't express it well or much at all, but he does care for her safety and has always been a willing partner to her. She confides in him and asks for his opinion about a lot of things (because he was the only option for a long time). He's always calling her names, being crude, and laughing at her, but she really loves this little box and WILL have a meltdown if anything ever happens to him.

6. Does she have other close friends?

Reines! A magus with a bad personality (her words) who enjoys seeing people squirm and suffer... though even she doesn't have the heart to pick on Gray (too much), and the two form a close and comfortable bond over the course of the series. Reines comes to feel at ease around Gray because Gray is completely uninvolved with the politics of the Clock Tower; this means Reines can let her guard down and finally have a friend her age without fear of being exploited or betrayed. Meanwhile, Gray admires Reines's force of personality and appreciates how much she had to overcome as someone who was plunged into cutthroat Clock Tower politics from an extremely early age. They're an unlikely pair, but they get along famously and often have tea together.

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?

She perceives herself as being bad at making friends, but most people like her because she's cute, intriguing, and inoffensive.

8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?

HMM... If she had to rush off to save just one, it would be her only remaining family (aka mom) because her friends can fend for themselves. Her urge to protect her mom would be stronger, but in terms of life "importance" I don't think she would be able to choose one over the other, as they've given her separate but equally important things.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?

Single. She probably can't even picture herself in a relationship.

10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?

Nope.

11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?

Well, I doubt she had any crushes in her village for a lot of reasons, but I can picture her having a vague babycrush on a character like Sherlock Holmes, someone distant and safe that she could just ooh and ahh at. If you ask me, she currently has a crush on Reines, but it's something she has extremely low recognition of. Her heart just HAPPENS to beat a lil faster sometimes when she is giving Reines chocolate and everything tastes better when they're together, sometimes that's just friends things too. In any case, her desire to cruise for a bf/gf is incredibly low and it isn't something she dares to think about at all.

12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?

She doesn't...... She wouldn't seek anyone actively, so she'd probably end up with someone who becomes comfortable enough in her daily life that she just ends up having feelings for them.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?

She has none of those things and she's too busy grappling with the fact that she is living now to think about making more life, but I think she theoretically would not be averse to them if 500 stars lined up. I don't think she even really knows how she feels about kids because there were zero (0) babies produced in her village after she was born, so she doesn't have much personal interaction with them.

14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?

Faker... They got to have a classic Fate/ ideological discussion and everything. Also Faker has beef with Waver, which means Gray is prepared to spiritmurder her to protect him. They get to meet as "warriors" and Faker in opposition helps Gray discover the reason why she fights, etc.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?

Mmmaybe a 4? She seems appreciative of people's looks on both ends with more time spent on the ladies. She also seems to spend a tiny bit more time noticing Reines calling her cute and is regretful that she can't meet Reines's expectations (what expectations even) about it, but these are small distinctions.

16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?

It's something she's aware of, and she is properly judging of perverts so I guess the village had its share lmao. She is both appalled and flustered by a lewd necklace she glimpses, so she at least has awkward teen feelings about it. If some BL magically dropped into her hands, she would have a minor freakout but still feel compelled to read it...... like you do. But for herself, sex isn't even a blip on her radar because her self-esteem is so hellishly low. She thinks the good-looking guy in the series with an obvious, obsessive crush on her actually hates her guts. She just has a ton of stuff to work through before she'd feel comfortable with as much as a lil smooch and is realistic enough to focus on putting one foot in front of the other first.

17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

People trying to compliment her face makes her uncomfortable so that's a big turn-off... otherwise I shrug

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?

She's a Gemini... Google says the seven key traits are that they're "adaptable, outgoing, and intelligent; indecisive, impulsive, unreliable, and nosy," so it suits her only a little. She's adaptable, inquisitive, and definitely indecisive, but that's about it. In terms of zodiac, I think she was born in 1989(???) which would make her an earth snake. She is earth-aspected in canon, so that works, but otherwise zodiac snakes are supposed to be charming, sophisticated, calm problem-solvers, independent/distrustful, and lazy. She's unintentionally charming, but otherwise it doesn't seem to suit her well.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?

She grew up in a religious Christian village and will pray or sign the cross purely out of habit, but she doesn't believe in God. She probably became disillusioned once her face changed. She still prays sometimes in her head that x will happen as a gesture of hope.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?

She's very much a product of her tiny village upbringing. She subscribes to honest hard work, doing her part to contribute to the whole, lawfulness, kindness to neighbors, and avoiding waste. Her gravekeeper mentor, Bersac, very firmly taught her that she should only use her skills to kill spirits, so she's never killed a living person and will do as much as she can to avoid it. However, she won't hold back against a strong opponent if she believes in her purpose, and if she ends up having to kill them, then it is what it is... even if will be something that stays with her.

4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?

She is very tolerant of differing beliefs, and she'll pretty much always make an effort to understand or at least dissect them on some level. It stems from her assumption that she's unintelligent and inexperienced; she believes that people who think differently from her know things she doesn't. If she fails to understand in the end, she'll blame it on herself, rarely outright dismissing other people's beliefs.

5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?

That magus society as a whole is not quite right in the head, which she is correct about. She lived among some of the best and brightest of them for half a year, so she's very familiar with how cruel and cannibalistic magus culture can be. But she's still fond of a lot of magi, so she's perfectly capable of separating individual from society.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?

In canon, Waver gives her enough of an allowance for her to live comfortably in the Clock Tower dorms, but she still works a part-time job cleaning so that she can have some pocket change. In AT, I guess she is basically comfortable-to-rich because she only spends her exorbitant allowance on necessities.

2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?

Her social status in her home village was 10/10; as the vessel for King Arthur, she was treated with extreme respect, saluted, viewed with awe, etc. as if she was nobility. When she became Waver's apprentice, she became a 5/10; people are respectful to her because she's the disciple of a Lord, but they'll also try to get to Waver through her (like, outright chase her around the Clock Tower) and be very friendly with her because she seems so harmless. In AT, she's like a 9/10 because yanno the Regent is still the top, but she's back to deity status and she doesn't love it.

Her social status isn't important to her at all, and actually she would prefer to be a 1/10 because she dislikes attention. It is noted that someone who was raised essentially like a small town noble should have at least a little ego, but she completely lacks it. It's all about that face PTSD and lack of self-worth, friends. When she became anonymous in London, it was a huge relief. In Achamoth, she tries very hard to be inconspicuous and never brings up her Aion status to the normies; when she's recognized and people treat her like she's special, she puts up mental blinders and also her hood blinders and shuts down a little until specifically required to respond.

3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?

Back in canon, she lived in the student dormitories of the Clock Tower, which look pretty much like typical college dorms. It's just a place for her to sleep in, keep her things, and sometimes do schoolwork; she spends most of her time out and about. She keeps it perfectly neat and doesn't have any roommates. In AT, she lives in some room in the Citadel and it's basically the same story, with time for reading instead of schoolwork.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?

Cleaning supplies... cat treats and toys... the occasional snack for herself... In AT she keeps enough for herself to buy anything that might be necessary (mostly weapons, equipment, potential travel money), but she's happy to spend the gratuitous excess on other people who seem like they might need it. She dumped a ruby on Thoma in Venera. She would give more to her Pleromie pals if that might not be taken as supplying the enemy and all.

5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?

She's a gravekeeper in the underground Fate/ version of the word, but also formerly in the conventional sense in her home village. She knows how to prepare a grave, perform Christian burial rites (give or take a few lines), and has a general idea of how a cemetery is traditionally run. But she's also a gravekeeper who lays ghosts to rest, which in the Type-Moon universe is a pretty dangerous job; rather than kindly helping ghosts moves on to the afterlife, she's aggressively trying to exterminate them. She's very good at it (the best in Britain) and is even able to put up resistance against a Servant, which is a pretty big deal for a living person. It's a given that if you need some form of spirit taken care of, she's the girl for the job. The supernatural nature of spirit-fighting also requires excellent combat ability, and she is accordingly highly nimble, strong, and sturdy thanks to her ability to enhance herself via magical strengthening.

She is very good at her job, but she doesn't particularly enjoy it... because she's afraid of ghosts. Her extreme spiritual sensitivity would normally be counted as a weakness due to its tendency to overwhelm her, but in a twist of fate, that sensitivity makes her a perfect fit for the job; she can immediately detect spirits that are in the area, as well as fluctuations in magical energy. She would love to be able to do something else with her life, but she also acknowledges that she's good at gravekeeping and ties it to her usefulness as a person. She's content to keep fighting ghosts as long as the people around her find it helpful.

6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?

She loves to clean, read (especially detective novels), and try to pet cats. Cleaning is a calming ritual for her and helps her feel productive. She likes tidiness in general; she'll clean a room, but she also finds satisfaction in polishing shoes and brushing out hair. With the cat-petting, I like to think she misses the everyday connection to animals she had in her home village, since the livestock they kept were highly essential to them and well cared for. She probably found a lot of comfort in the animals because they didn't care a lick for her face. Also, she's just extremely a cat person.

7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?

She eats at the proper mealtimes in modest portions. She keeps a generally balanced diet, refraining from excess and junk food outside of the occasional treat. She's used to simple meals and carefully controlled dining habits, so she tends to think of eating as just something she has to do without any real cravings. However, her introduction to fine dining has unlocked a tiny foodie in her, and she greatly savors delicious food experiences whenever they happen to come her way.

She isn't a drinker, and if/when she does drink, it will almost certainly only be in very small quantities so that she can still watch out for the other drinkers (and avoid embarrassing herself).
