[ She still thinks it's kind of weird that this is happening and that her attendance is for some reason essential. She'd understand more if D happened to be another teenage girl, but she feels there are better friends to be had elsewhere.

Oh well. Maybe Dokja likes D just that much.

As she's pondering these things, obnoxious laughter rises from within Gray's cloak. ]

[ Gray pulls out the weird little box himself, Add, from her cloak and holds him in her palm so he can say his piece even though she'll probably regret it. ]

Ihihihi! You're a funny one if you think idiot Gray here will be any good for dinner conversation! Do you actually hate this D guy?!

[ Ah... Dokja's expression immediately becomes displeased when the little box appears. They had peace in this house once. ]

And maybe we can keep Add in your room when D's here.

[ IGNORES ADD. ]

[ Gray places her other hand flat on Add's "head," turning him into a sandwich. The movement is gentle, but Add's eyes immediately go round, almost comically so. ]

He'll behave.

[ She'll make sure of it... especially because she doesn't like the idea of leaving him out of her sight, even if he's only a room away. ]

If you ever think he's out of line, you have my permission to discipline him.

[ The easy answer would be nothing at all because D is a vampire, but who knows that? ]

... Soup?

[ Dokja who has zero cooking experience or skills thinks soup is easy enough. It is just water and some ingredients? ]

Gray waits for Dokja to go on, only to realize that soup is the end of the line. ]

[ Help, this would have been so much easier if Dokja had asked about food preferences from D. But like... what's something that is universally liked? What soup can't possibly be hated? ]

Chicken noodle soup.

[ Like............. she doesn't have a big appetite so she wouldn't complain about just chicken noodle soup for dinner, but. ]

Do you think that will be enough for him?

[ Scratches his cheek as he thinks about this... ]

... He's a skinny guy, so I don't think he'll need too much.

[ ... Dokja knows the guy better than she does. She'll just keep some bread, cheese, and other snackables on hand, just in case. ]

Alright. I can help you prepare it tomorrow.

[ And she guesses that's all there is to it?? She is feeling a little anxious already, but (she figures) this is Dokja's ship to sail. ]

[ Oh, here comes the instant relief as Dokja's shoulders sag and a grateful smile appears on his face. While he'd only required Gray's presence at the dinner, he won't deny it'll be a huge help to have an extra set of hands preparing dinner. ]

Thanks, Gray. I'll have to ask Eustace about it, too.

[ He says "Eustace" and then winces just a little bit because he heard that Eustace and Gray had a talk about... things...? And now he's reminded of that. ]
